Members include PR officers, study program managers and coordinators, as well as other faculty staff members who perform related duties according to their job descriptions.
Mission
The mission of the Career Counselling Centre (CCC) is to empower high school and university students to plan and manage their optimal educational and professional paths, to improve the employment opportunities of graduates in their respective fields, and to foster self-management and lifelong career development.
Target Group
- students of partner high schools,
- students of the University,
- graduates (alumni) of the University and other universities.
Objectives
- assisting students and other interested individuals in making appropriate choices for their future professions;
- assisting students in designing their individual study paths, selecting their study programs, and structuring their annual curriculum;
- reducing dropout rates caused by academic, career orientation, or personal reasons, as well as difficulties in adapting to the university environment;
- assessing students' additional training needs (workshops, continuous training programs);
- developing students' self-management skills;
- facilitating the relationship between students and the labor market, and fostering a better understanding of real labor market challenges and needs;
- building and developing labor market integration skills, thereby increasing the chances of employment in the graduated field of study;
- assisting study program managers and coordinators in aligning curricula with employer expectations;
- coordinating the activities of the CCC and the student unions operating at university campuses in organizing job fairs, university presentation events, open days, etc.;
- organizing and conducting individual and group activities in the field of career management;
- organizing and conducting individual and group counseling activities related to personal and educational problems;
- organizing and facilitating meetings with employer representatives;
- organizing and facilitating meetings with alumni who have achieved successful professional careers;
- providing accurate information to prospective students and the socio-economic sphere, in collaboration with university and faculty PR officers.
In achieving the above objectives, the university considers current and potential employers of its graduates from the socio-economic sphere as its partners.
Areas of Activity
1. Providing information and counseling to graduating high school students and university students through the following free services:
- educational and vocational counseling;
- psychological assessment and counseling;
- career counseling;
- developing informational, orientation, and counseling materials.
2. Services aimed at increasing the labor market employment rate of graduates:
- preparatory activities for compiling employment portfolios and simulating job interviews;
- organizing events to present employer institutions and companies;
- organizing workshops to develop students' transversal (soft) skills;
- conducting studies and analyses on the causes of student dropout, the labor market placement of graduates, and the impact of counseling and career orientation services, as well as formulating proposals for their improvement;
- developing and applying specific methods to track labor market placement;
- participating in the organization of alumni activities.
3. Providing information and counseling to students regarding potential study paths and professions within the university curriculum, the credit transfer system used at the university, the national qualifications framework, and the higher education qualifications register, using specific tools such as open days, university fairs, thematic visits, etc.
4. Psycho-pedagogical counseling and psychotherapy.
