PedPsi - Research Centre of the Teacher Training Institute of Sapientia University
The PedPsi Research Centre, established in 2022 within the Teacher Training Institute, is the youngest of the University's research centres, and its operation is regulated by Resolution no. 2022/2596 of the University Senate. The research centre conducts pedagogical, psychological, methodological and interdisciplinary research. The primary aim of the research is to analyse the relevant and current issues of public and higher education in Transylvania and Szeklerland and discuss them within a Carpathian-Basin context.
According to the European Council’s conclusions on education policy, pedagogical discourses - innovative teaching, pre-service teacher training or professional development for teachers - should be based on equitable pedagogical research. Consequently, another declared aim of the research centre is to transmit research results to experts, policy-makers and professional institutions of Hungarian public education in Romania, to implicate these actors, stakeholders and institutions in the activities of the research centre, and to approach research problems from a practical perspective.
